Kinesiology is a complementary therapeutic approach that uses gentle body-based techniques and muscle testing to explore how the body responds to different forms of stress. At MELODY, Kinesiology is approached as a personalised process of awareness, self-regulation and support. The sessions invite you to become more aware of your body's signals, explore patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing and strengthen your own resources for balance and adaptation. Each session is individual and adapted to the person in front of you.Listen. Explore. Support.Explore Kinesiology
Kinesiology uses muscle testing as a form of biofeedback to explore the body's responses to different stimuli, questions or areas of focus. The practitioner observes changes in muscle response while guiding the session through specific techniques and questions. At MELODY, this process is used as a way of facilitating body awareness and exploring possible areas of stress or imbalance. It is not about forcing the body to give an answer or predicting what is happening inside you. Rather, it provides a framework for listening to the body's responses and guiding the session.Your body has signals. Kinesiology creates a space to listen to them.
A session begins with a conversation about what brings you to MELODY and what you would like to explore. The session may then include muscle testing and gentle techniques adapted to your individual needs. You remain involved throughout the process. We may explore physical sensations, stress responses, emotions, habits or situations that are relevant to your current experience. The session ends with a moment to integrate what you have explored and, when appropriate, identify simple ways to support your wellbeing between sessions. There is no standard sequence that every person must follow.Every session begins where you are.
Muscle testing is main tool used in Kinesiology. It involves applying gentle pressure to a muscle while the practitioner observes how the muscle responds under specific conditions.Within Kinesiology, muscle testing is used as a form of biofeedback to guide the session and explore the person's responses. It is important to understand that muscle testing should not be presented as a diagnostic test for medical conditions. At MELODY, it is used within the framework of a complementary therapeutic approach focused on awareness, exploration and self-regulation.
Kinesiology may be used as a complementary approach to explore areas such as stress, body awareness, emotional balance, self-regulation, personal patterns and everyday wellbeing. The intention is to help you become more aware of your own responses and strengthen the resources you already have. The experience is highly individual, and results can vary from person to person.Kinesiology is not used at MELODY to diagnose or treat medical conditions, and no specific outcome is guaranteed. When a health concern requires medical attention, appropriate healthcare should always take priority. The goal is not to fix you. It is to support you in understanding yourself more deeply.
Kinesiology can be approached as an ongoing process rather than a one-time experience. Some people come with a specific situation they would like to explore, while others choose several sessions to work progressively on different aspects of their wellbeing and self-awareness.Each session provides an opportunity to observe what has changed, what remains relevant and where attention may be useful next. There is no fixed number of sessions that applies to everyone. The rhythm is individual and can be discussed together as your process evolves.A process of exploration, one step at a time.
My Kinesiology training was completed in Switzerland as part of a comprehensive three-year therapeutic training programme. This training led to a Swiss Complementary Therapist Branch Certificate (Certificat de branche de Thérapeute Complémentaire). The training provided a professional framework for therapeutic accompaniment, with an emphasis on supporting self-regulation, developing personal awareness and strengthening individual resources for health and wellbeing.I have continued to develop my practice through additional specialised training in complementary approaches, including Sound Healing and Crystal Healing. At MELODY, Kinesiology remains grounded in this professional therapeutic foundation while being integrated into a broader approach to wellbeing.
The Complementary Therapist branch certificate (issued from the swiss health system) provides a clear professional framework for the practice of kinesiology. It is obtained following a comprehensive three-year training program in therapeutic support in Switzerland. The approach focuses on strengthening self-regulation, activating personal awareness, and consolidating healing skills. Its goal is to promote the client's health and well-being while preventing injury and illness. To learn more: Foundations of OrTra TC Complementary Therapy.
No. The Kinesiology is a complementary therapeutic approach and does not replace medical diagnosis, treatment or psychological care. The sessions are intended to support wellbeing, self-awareness and personal resources.Kinesiology should not be used to diagnose a medical condition, determine whether someone has a disease, or replace prescribed treatment. If you have a health concern or are currently receiving medical or psychological care, you should continue working with your qualified healthcare professional. When appropriate, complementary approaches can exist alongside conventional healthcare.Complementary care, not replacement care.
Yes. At MELODY, Kinesiology and Sound Healing can complement one another while keeping their own distinct purpose.Kinesiology offers a personalised space to explore body awareness, stress responses, patterns and self-regulation through an individual therapeutic process.Sound Healing offers a more sensory and receptive experience, using sound, vibration, breath and stillness to create a space for relaxation and inward awareness. They can therefore be experienced separately or, when appropriate, as complementary parts of a broader personal wellbeing journey. The intention is not to combine techniques simply for the sake of doing more, but to choose the approach that is most relevant to the moment.Kinesiology · ExploreSound · ReceiveTogether · Create space
